Fife High’s Kaitlin Ringus honored twice this school year

Fife High School senior Kailtin Ringus has received two important, and well deserved, honors in her last year in Fife Schools. She was chosen as Fife’s Daffodil Princess at a coronation on Oct. 30, and on Nov. 14 she was honored at her high school as the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week.

“It’s two huge things in a row and huge blessings,” she said.

Being a yearly spectator at the Daffodil Parade with her mom, Kristina Fernandez, Ringus said that the thought of contending to be a princess had crossed her mind before. “I’ve always seen the Daffodil Princesses, and my mom lives in Puyallup, so we’ve always gone to see the parade and I’ve always thought it would be so much fun.”
