The senior leaders of the Fife Trojan volleyball team are making sure the team is picking up right where it left off.
Jessica Baker, Cami Lubereski, and Allison Beardsley – all of whom start – are working with a lot of new teammates, and the results have been very good. Newer starters include sophomores Jessica Miller and Taylor Dillard, and juniors Sydney Behrendt and Lacey Bailey. The rest of the team consists of sophomores Kyla Nakamura, Kayla Williams, Alysha Hassell, Amanda Koke, and junior Kacee Woods.
The Trojans won their first match of the season against Wilson Sept 8. They then beat Graham Kapowsin, Curtis, Emerald Ridge, Wilson, Kentlake (all 4A teams) before losing to North Mason, a 3A team.
Coach Jan Kirk said, “I am pleased with our performance so far and having played tougher teams, we know what it is that we need to work on to get better for down the road.”
